Designed as an inclusive educational space for children with complex needs, Bradbury Den transforms a redundant Sussex barn into a Passivhaus-standard learning environment. Through the sensitive reuse of the existing structure and carefully selected local materials, the project balances environmental performance with accessibility, creating a space that connects people with nature all year round.
The project was recognised with both the Sussex Heritage Trust Award and the Eco Award, celebrating its exceptional blend of sustainable design, heritage conservation and social impact.
